Pitsou Kedem Architect

As architects we design spaces for people – spaces that promote a sense of place, calling their visitors to linger. We created Object to complete this experience. Our objects express the delicate balance between the human scale and architecture, presenting their users with an holistic experience. We seek to design unique objects that are user friendly and accessible.
Objects that transcend trends and remain true to our everyday lives We seek to enrich our daily rituals with everyday objects that offer an original and surprising experience The design of our objects is a playful dance between masses and plains, a constant motion between volume and void

Float House

From the architect. A one story, private residence in the center of the country. The architectural concept was to create a structure with a continuous, wide space, divided by internal courtyards and movable partitions into smaller spaces used for a variety of different functions.

The different spaces and internal courtyards are joined together are joined together into one structure by two, ultra-thin roofs supported at one central point so that seem to float in the air. The two roofs merge, one into the other and extend for five meters over the building front walls.

F House
Pitsou Kedem Architect

From the architect. Since the dawn of history, ‘public’ architecture – the architecture constructed by institutions of church and state, served as a tool in shaping the consciousness of the masses. Its massive dimensions, layout of spaces, and choice of materials, were all done with the objective of creating in the viewer and visitor a sense of moving between dimensions – from the day-to-day, the simple and the often inferior – to a place that is sublime, inspiring and of awesome majesty – homes to those among the people raised to privilege– the representatives of God on earth.

JJ House
Obra Arquitetos

From the architect. The house is located in the Serra da Mantiqueira, in the city of Amparo, Sao Paulo. The nature of the site, with steep incline and privileged view we chose to design the residence towards the formation of a platform, with a public and wide dimension. In the shaded area, which features the living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry area, much of it is glazed allowing, this way, the full visibility of the external environment.

LSR113
AAd I Ayutt and Associates design

“We are not saying that This house is 100 percent Thai, But at least it’s a try” LSR113 is situated on Bangna road, Samuthprakarn, Thailand, on the lakefront plot of private housing property known as ‘Lakeside villa’. The house is built as one-family house which provided a flexibility to be expanded into multi-family for the future. The briefs that designer received from the client was for functional spaces like any normal house, though what they really liked were square, modern style house, but they asked that it should not be hot inside and has to suit with Thai Climate.

Bridged House
Ida&Billy Architects

From the architect. The Bridged-House design links two existing houses of different ages and styles as one, spatially, aesthetically and spiritually, while keeping the identity of two houses for the two generations. One major challenge is their being segregated horizontally by the existing long swimming pool, and vertically by a 3m level-change between their living-room floors.

Hudson Parade House
Corben Architects

The double height entry foyer extends over the outdoor deck framing the view of the landscape beyond giving it a vertical dimension rarely found in dwelling houses. This combines with large sliding glass doors to ensure the panoramic view is well and truly captured. The seamless transition from indoor to outdoors throughout the house adds to the spectacular sense of being ‘in’ the landscape. From the main entry a flight of stairs takes you up to the top level and three bedrooms and associated bathrooms. A second set of stairs takes you down to the middle level which houses the primary living areas and large open plan kitchen with attached butlers pantry. These open plan living areas open onto a large deck overlooking the water.
