Vantaa, Helsinki, Finland

A modern eco-home for three generations
Savukvartsi was introduced to the public at the Housing fair 2015 in Vantaa, Finland. It’s an ecological duplex house, designed for three generations of a family. Honka Savukvartsi is an excellent example of a new-generation log home, created with the Honka Fusion concept.

This project is a renovation and extension to an old 1880’s Victorian brick house in an old suburb of Melbourne Australia. The new building at the rear of the house consists mainly of one large L shaped open plan kitchen, living and dining area with large glass doors across the rear verandah porch, as well as other utilitarian rooms.

You wear all those fancy clothes and have a big fine car,” sang Jean Knight This new restaurant and bar located in Meyers Place, Melbourne shares its name with the iconic song ‘Mr Big Stuff’ from the 1970’s and sets the tone for both the food offering and the space itself.

Characterised by the grand array of Victorian, Edwardian and Interwar architecture, Elwood has become synonymous with the classics. Inspired by this local sentiment, we developed a bespoke brand that evoked a sense of intrigue and old world charm, yet still felt familiar.

Nestled amongst the vines of Victoria’s Yarra Valley, 35km northeast of the city is Hutch & Co. From its humble beginnings as the 1800s ironmongery store formally known as Hutchinson’s, the site was transformed into a modern restaurant, cafe.

In the course of the revitalisation of the former Werzer cinema in Pörtschach, which was designed by the well-known “Wörthersee-Architect” Franz Baumgartner in 1930, parts of the roof truss were raised to make room for a spacious penthouse. This 250m2 apartment has become the holiday home of a German business family of seven. Bright floors, cosy grey tones, and lavish white surface areas are the sound foundation of this apartment’s serene, harmonious atmosphere.
